Getting the most from your symbols
The new Widgit Rebus symbols upgrade

In 2000, there was a complete revision of the
original UK Rebus symbols, improving the drawing quality, standardising
common elements and improving the schema to aid independent vocabulary
development.
The new Widgit Rebus set was released with Writing with Symbols
2000 V2.6.

The new Colour Widgit Rebus symbols
In 2004, the Colour Widgit Rebus set was developed; and extended the
set by over 1000 symbols. The line drawings are exactly the same as
in the black & white set, with colour having being carefully and
sensitively added. These can be used in WWS through new colour wordlists.
This set was realeased with Communicate: In Print 2.
